While I enjoyed the behind the scenes romp through the back alleys of the cruise ship with the crew, I was deeply dismayed at the writing or to be more precise, the character of the protagonist, the author. He strikes me as immature, self-centered and bent on drama. No matter the situation he seems to see it in the most absurd way. The very idea that this man is on a crew for a cruise I would be a passenger on is frightening in itself. No experience and no idea what the heck he is doing and drunk as often as possible, while beating off female flirts with a stick every time he turns around. I won’t go so far as other have said and say its a fantasy. There are those with an inflated image of themselves and they are the heroes of their stories. That’s just how they see it. I have no problem believing he believes this to be all true and that he is in the right at all times.
I will not be finishing this book or moving on to the rest of the series as every minute I spend reading these books I could have spent reading better quality tomes.
